Murder Trial Of Orlando Wade Begins


The trial of Orlando Wade, charged with the murder of Dorla Pitterson began yesterday in the court of Justice Adolph Lucas. The incident occurred on June 23, 2008 in Sandhill Village.

Pitterson's body, nude from the waist down, was found in a pit latrine. Dr. Mario Estradaban who did the post mortem examination testified that she was strangled by a rope that was tied around her neck.

Eight other witnesses have testified, among them the chief witness Barry Rosales. Rosales said it was raining when he passed by an abandoned pit latrine and saw a man on top of a woman. Rosales said he passed by the pit latrine a second time and saw the same man on top of the woman. A jury of 8 woman and 4 men is hearing the case. Wade is being represented by attorney Kevin Arthurs. Senior Crown Counsel Yohhanseh Cave is representing the prosecution.
